Elder Cassandra Durham, a native of High Point, North Carolina, is a vibrant, anointed, and passionate minister, author, social worker, and former radio host who brings a fresh perspective to ministry and community empowerment. Known for her authentic faith, unrelenting optimism, and deep love for God's people, Cassandra has dedicated her life to uplifting, teaching, and leading others in their spiritual and personal growth.

Cassandra is the proud daughter of Arthur and Ellen Brown and the late William H. Rainey. Under the guidance of Apostle Louise Baker, she accepted the call into ministry and preached her initial sermon in January 2013. Since then, she has embraced her calling with fervor, serving in various capacities, including teen Sunday school teacher, usher, outreach ministry leader, Board of Christian Education member, and adult Sunday school teacher. Her ministry has extended beyond North Carolina, as she has had the honor of ministering in South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Florida.

In 2019, Cassandra joined Destiny International Ministries in Raleigh, NC, under the leadership of Apostle Dr. Shirley R. Brown, where she was ordained as an elder in 2021. She began her next chapter of ministry in 2022 under watch care at Miracle Temple Church, continuing her steadfast commitment to spiritual growth and service. On February 9, 2025, she will make history as the first woman installed as Pastor of Miracle Temple Church in Burlington, NC

A distinguished scholar, Cassandra holds a Bachelor of Social Work from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (NC A&T SU) and a Master of Science in Human Services from Capella University, with a focus on social and community services. In 2013, she earned a Master of Arts in Christian Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, further equipping her to serve God’s people with wisdom and grace. She is looking forward to pursuing a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) at Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary.

Professionally, Cassandra is a dedicated social worker specializing in advocacy for African American women. She is a dynamic workshop facilitator known for empowering women to reclaim their self-worth, build self-esteem, and overcome life's challenges.

From 2020-2022, Cassandra created and led national panel discussions on white supremacy and its impact on Black and Brown bodies seeking and receiving medical care. In 2021, she founded the North Carolina HIV Medical Case Management Community of Practice, a groundbreaking initiative that still meets monthly and has since expanded nationwide, providing a platform for ongoing education, collaboration, and excellence in HIV medical case management.

Cassandra’s ministry extends beyond the pulpit through writing, blogging, and radio. In 2012, she launched the Salt, Light & Witnesses blog to encourage and uplift believers worldwide. In 2014, she founded the Fully Persuaded About Faith radio ministry, where she shared her testimony of trusting God through life’s most difficult seasons.

A prolific author, Cassandra has penned three powerful devotionals:

She has also written two novels, The Summer of Wrath and As I Live and Breathe, which explore themes of faith, resilience, and redemption. Her books are available on Amazon.
